A Few Words...

Canongate Life

The sun sets over Edinburgh in spectacular fashion as the folks of the Canongate finish their business for the day. The local joiner (and resident undertaker) is carrying the last box into the workshop as the old widow makes her way past the Tolbooth and on towards home on Blackfriars Wynd. No wind this evening, so quiet you could almost hear a pin drop and the whole place is unusually quiet, a few birds circling overhead the only disturbance in the tranquil evening air…

The above is an artwork of mine, reworking a nineteenth century etching that needed a fair bit of work. Soon to be available as a special issue print and available nowhere else in the world in colour like this. You seen it here first folks…enjoy!
